The best laid plans…
…tend to gang agley due to the lure of a lazy weekend, or they do in my life, anyway. I had all these good intentions of spending the weekend working on my linguistics essay, preparing Wednesday’s ESOL lesson so I don’t have to do it at the last minute, testing out my new secret super-powers…
A very calm and tranquil title with absolutely no drama
Just for Kimi and SWAAM 😉 Um, ok, now I’ve got to think of something to write about to justify the title, which given that I wrote my last entry late last night, and pretty much all I’ve done since then is sleep, could be a bit tricky. I didn’t even dream anything interesting. Oh…
On the evils of the English language
Ok, so everyone knows English is a hard language to learn. But that was brought back to me in a major way last night during a lesson with my ESOL student. I’ve been putting off broaching the past tense, as just getting the basics of communication is still the priority for her, but the story…
Recovery
Well, we made it. A highly successful convention (at least according to everyone who spoke to me), and we even managed to come in within budget (in fact, we even made a bit of a profit, which will be split evenly between Bookcrossing and the BC Exchange programme). I know you will miss your furry friend….
Such a lovely cat. I am sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry for your loss
(((((hugs)))))
So sad to hear you have lost your beautiful boy. I had to go thru the same process with two of mine, both at 14 as well, one to diabetes, one to cancer. I’m grateful that my Dexter, at 14, is the picture of health despite being a little porkchop. I’m sure you have many sweet memories of Ming and it is nice that the roses will remind you of him. Take care.
