A quiet time
As in, I’ve been quiet for quite some time. My life certainly hasn’t. Most of the unquiet has been on the work front. A time of year that’s normally incredibly busy anyway has gone beyond busy to frantic, and my workload just keeps going up. Doesn’t leave a lot of energy at the end of…
From my travel journal: Wednesday 6 April, 11.15 pm
Albuquerque, New Mexico If I gain nothing else from this trip, at least I’ve finally learnt how to spell Albuquerque 🙂 A very long and adventure-packed day. We’ve only just got into Albuquerque (ok, now I’m just showing off ;-)) at the very late hour of what we thought was quarter to 10, but we…
Suddenly, it's April
And that means I’m going to London this month!!!!! It’s all starting to seem very real. My list of things to do doesn’t seem to be diminishing at all – as soon as I get one thing done, I think of another two to add to the list. But at least I’ve managed to tick…
A very old catch, and the odd patch
I got a great catch tonight – a book that’s been “missing in action” for more than two years! In October 2003 KiwiKat and I went on a releasing expedition to Akaroa. We had a lovely day over there, and released tonnes of books, but didn’t get very many catches. Well tonight I got an…

That’s a lovely picture of him. I’m glad I got to see him one last time recently (and see him enjoying Thai food!).

I know you will miss your furry friend….
Such a lovely cat. I am sorry for your loss.
Jami
I am so sorry for your loss
(((((hugs)))))
So sad to hear you have lost your beautiful boy. I had to go thru the same process with two of mine, both at 14 as well, one to diabetes, one to cancer. I’m grateful that my Dexter, at 14, is the picture of health despite being a little porkchop. I’m sure you have many sweet memories of Ming and it is nice that the roses will remind you of him. Take care.
