Thick, yellow and wobbly
All of a sudden, everything seems to be turning to custard. For a start, one of our guest speakers is in hospital, and while he seems to be making a good recovery, it was serious enough that I can’t really ring and ask if he thinks he’ll be well enough by the 18th to do…
Secret project report
So, can you guess what it is yet? 🙂 I’m quite pleased with the background pattern now that there’s more of it visible. I was a bit disappointed with it at first, because it was supposed to subtly reinforce the octagon theme, but once I’d started stitching I realised that you couldn’t really tell they…
The best laid plans…
…tend to gang agley due to the lure of a lazy weekend, or they do in my life, anyway. I had all these good intentions of spending the weekend working on my linguistics essay, preparing Wednesday’s ESOL lesson so I don’t have to do it at the last minute, testing out my new secret super-powers…
Not fair!
It’s really not fair! At work today, while thinking of things other than work (as one does), I thought it would be a cool idea to take photos of all my current embroidery works-in-progress and post them on my diary, so I could check back in a year from now and see if I’d actually…
I'm on holiday!

I know you will miss your furry friend….
Such a lovely cat. I am sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry for your loss
(((((hugs)))))
So sad to hear you have lost your beautiful boy. I had to go thru the same process with two of mine, both at 14 as well, one to diabetes, one to cancer. I’m grateful that my Dexter, at 14, is the picture of health despite being a little porkchop. I’m sure you have many sweet memories of Ming and it is nice that the roses will remind you of him. Take care.
