Another big aftershock this morning. 5.5 – big enough to shake half the CDs off their shelf, but no damage. George, as usual, slept through it while MrPloppy and I cowered under the doorway. I’ve had a very constructive weekend, for a change. Managed to get a whole load of little jobs done that have…
Chick Flicks
I got some really interesting responses to yesterday’s entry – maybe I should be philosophical more often… However this entry is not going to be at all philosophical. Instead, it’s going to feature movies and chocolate 🙂 “Chick Flicks” had its inaugural movie night last night. We went to see Mad Hot Ballroom, which is…

Bookcrossing is all about giving away books, right? Then how come over the last three days I’ve managed to give away seven books, but acquire twelve? On Saturday, we had a bookcrossing picnic in the botanic gardens. Quite a few people who’d said they’d be there weren’t (probably because the weather has been so iffy…
From my travel journal: Sunday 3 April, 2 pm

I am so sorry for your loss
(((((hugs)))))
So sad to hear you have lost your beautiful boy. I had to go thru the same process with two of mine, both at 14 as well, one to diabetes, one to cancer. I’m grateful that my Dexter, at 14, is the picture of health despite being a little porkchop. I’m sure you have many sweet memories of Ming and it is nice that the roses will remind you of him. Take care.
