Countdown to Convention
The convention is getting excitingly close now. Bookcrossers are arriving in the country in droves (well, small droves), and everywhere there are signs that Bookcrossing is about to hit Dunedin in a big way. The ODT had a teaser today for a big spread on How to Bookcross that they’re running tomorrow, and I spotted…
The finished product
I couldn’t find the screw top ring thingy for the last jar, so it’ll be a bit of a lottery whether the lid seals without it, but if it doesn’t I’ll just put it in the fridge and we’ll use that jar first. And while I’m here, some recent catches: The Message by KA Applegate…
Guessing Game
My turn to play "guess what I’m cross-stitching": [album 128913 301005embr1.jpg] I haven’t been doing any embroidery lately (yet another hobby to fall by the wayside while life has been busy), but yesterday I’d been studying for most of the afternoon (only one week until my big Spanish exam!) and wanted to do something other…
I found a book!
I found a wild book today!!! That might not sound that exciting to some people, but in nearly four years of bookcrossing (ooh, I just realised it’s my BC anniversary next week!) I’ve only found four books actually in the wild (I’ve picked up hundreds from meetups, conventions and OBCZs, of course, but they don’t…

Sydney part 9 (the last bit)
Home now, and I’ve finally caught up on all my release notes, and the diary entries I wrote while I was there, so now I just have to write up the last bit. Somewhere along the way on the Island Hopping we lost Edwardstreet and Edwardsister, who I think got sick of the rain. We…

That’s a lovely picture of him. I’m glad I got to see him one last time recently (and see him enjoying Thai food!).
{{{Ming’s family}}}
I know you will miss your furry friend….
Such a lovely cat. I am sorry for your loss.
Jami
I am so sorry for your loss
(((((hugs)))))
So sad to hear you have lost your beautiful boy. I had to go thru the same process with two of mine, both at 14 as well, one to diabetes, one to cancer. I’m grateful that my Dexter, at 14, is the picture of health despite being a little porkchop. I’m sure you have many sweet memories of Ming and it is nice that the roses will remind you of him. Take care.
