Convention Planning
Lytteltonwitch came round on Sunday to pick up her jacket (which she’d left behind on Christmas Eve), and while chatting, we realised how much work there still is to do planning the convention, and how fast Easter is approaching. So we set ourselves some deadlines: we’re going to try and get everything costed out by…
Communicado again
Yayyy!!!! We’ve got the internet back again!!! Oh, and the phone, but that’s not so important. Apparently the phone line across the street was broken, but when they fixed that, the phone still didn’t work – it turned out that our phone had broken as well. Presumably when the line broke it sent a surge…
Checking in
We’re down in Alexandra, and feeling much better after a good night’s sleep and a relaxing day. Thanks everyone for your kind thoughts and wishes – it really does help enormously to know that people are thinking of you. I saw several flags flying at half mast around town today, and it was strangely affecting….
And the real news
This bit’s friends only, because it contains a bit too much identifying information. One of the reasons I’ve been too busy to post anything lately is that all my good intentions of not taking on anything extra this year, and of just having a quiet life and looking after myself, kind of collapsed when I…
Home again (briefly)

That’s a lovely picture of him. I’m glad I got to see him one last time recently (and see him enjoying Thai food!).
{{{Ming’s family}}}
I know you will miss your furry friend….
Such a lovely cat. I am sorry for your loss.
Jami
I am so sorry for your loss
(((((hugs)))))
So sad to hear you have lost your beautiful boy. I had to go thru the same process with two of mine, both at 14 as well, one to diabetes, one to cancer. I’m grateful that my Dexter, at 14, is the picture of health despite being a little porkchop. I’m sure you have many sweet memories of Ming and it is nice that the roses will remind you of him. Take care.
