NoNoNoNo Day 4
Um, you know that two pictures a day thing? I’ve decided I’m not very good at it. It’s only Day 4, and already I’m up to picture #13. Oh well, if I end up doing more than 50 pictures, that’s ok – I’m sure nobody complains if a NaNoWriMo project exceeds 50,000 words, so why can’t a NoNoNoNo? And anyway, I imagine I’ll slow down as the month progresses and I run out of ideas.
In other words, once again I couldn’t choose just two photos today 🙂
I went for a walk early this morning to a nearby park that has a grove of oak trees. Last week the leaves all still had that wonderful fresh new leaf colour, especially when the sun was shining through them. They’ve matured a bit more now, and most have darkened to normal oak-leaf colour, but I there were still a few trees with young leaves. I love the way the green contrasts with the darkness of the bark:
And because I couldn’t choose, some more picture of the trees:
And as a contrast to the strength of all those oaks, a couple of more fragile things that haven’t survived spring, both found on the footpath on my way to the park (warning to the squeamish, you might find the second one unpleasant – I just found it fascinating, but then, I’m weird):
I love the colour of young oak leaves. We have a small grove in the park by our apartment – just lovely.
The contrast between the hoary old trunk and the tender shoot is great!
Poor little mite….
