On Saturday night lytteltonwitch and I went to the Chinese Lantern Festival in Victoria Square. I’d never been to the festival before (other than unexpectedly coming across the unlit lanterns during the day once), so I had no idea how popular it was. ARGGHHHH!!!!! I just spent a couple of hours writing a long and involved entry, and somehow hit some key combination that wiped the lot. And it won’t come back 🙁 Oh well, I’ll try and reconstruct what I lost, but of course this version won’t be anywhere near as witty and interesting as the original….

I know, I know, I’ve been so slack lately about updating my diary. And I can’t even remember all that I haven’t written about lately… I would have written up the trip to Dunedin, which was great fun, but I was waiting for lytteltonwitch to email me the photos she took of our Harry Potter…

Well, we’ve made it safely as far as Alexandra – we drove down from Christchurch yesterday, and spent today exploring Queenstown, Wanaka and the surrounding area. Tomorrow we’re off to Te Anau and then on to Milford. So far I haven’t managed to get us lost 🙂 Photos and a full report when I get…
