I’ve finished the cross-stitch, and now there’s just the backstitch and a few french knots to go! (which is not as close to finished as it sounds, though, because the backstitch is horribly fiddly – lots of lines that start in the middle of stitches and funny angles – so it’ll take me ages)
The Rest of the Wellington Trip
Back home after a wonderful few days in Wellington. We spent Saturday exploring the Kapiti Coast. First stop was at an amazing second hand bookshop in Pukerua Bay (Sherlockfan seemed determine to tempt me into bankruptcy, with all the great shops she kept taking me to!). I could have spent hours (and hundreds of dollars)…

Yes, I’m sitting in the lounge, typing on the laptop, and connected to the internet completely without wires! (Ok, technically there is a wire, because the batteries on the laptop were running low so I’ve got it plugged into the wall, but no telephone wires are involved.) Now that the convention is over, I can get on with the other things that have been demanding my attention (like work, but that’s too boring to mention here).
