It's over!

Finally got that Spanish exam out of the way (I think it went ok, but I’ll reserve judgement until I get my results in December) today, so I’m now feeling at a bit of a loose end. It’s not that I’ve got nothing to do, so much as that I’ve got a huge list of things that I’ve spent the last few weeks saying “I’ll do that once I’ve got my exam out of the way”, and I don’t know which one to do first!

One thing I do want to do is get some more cross-stitch done. After my marathon effort to get MrPloppy’s brother’s wedding sampler finished, I didn’t feel like doing any cross-stitch for ages, and then I got bogged down in study, so it wasn’t until I picked up my Christmas kittens again last week as a break from studying that I realised I hadn’t touched any of my projects since about May. Anyway, that inspired me this evening to dig through the trunk where I keep all my cross-stitch projects that are in various states of completion (everything from totally untouched still in their wrapping to totally finished but need to be framed (which is the way they’ll unfortunately have to stay for quite a while, given the cost of framing!)). While I was trying to decide which one I should start working on again next, I had a pleasant surprise. Some of you who’ve been reading for a while might remember that way back in January I decided to make a list and photos of all the projects I had on the go, in the hope that I’d actually manage to finish one of them, but there was one missing: a dragon, which despite searching everywhere I could think of was nowhere to be seen. Well guess what? Yep, I found it tonight! It was in the trunk with all the other projects, so I’ve got no idea why I couldn’t find it last time. Anyway, better late than never, here it is:

Of course, now I can’t find the pattern for it… (but I think I know where it is: in a large bundle of patterns and magazines that will take forever to go through… maybe I’ll work on something else for a while instead…)

Currently reading: The Crocodile Bird by Ruth Rendell and Cuentos en español (hmm, might give that one a rest for a week or so – I think I’ve had enough Spanish for a bit!)
